Colleague Talent – Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Great homes and strong communities are delivered by people with talent, passion, and lived experience. Our members are proud to work towards being ’employers of choice’ in the social housing sector. We recognise that a diverse workforce strengthens our organisations, drives better decision-making, and helps us serve the residents and communities we work with. This begins with inclusive recruitment, meaningful career development, and investment in the growth of our people.

G15 Ethnic Diversity Pledge

We have delivered on our ethnic diversity commitment: All the G15 Chief Executives have signed the G15 Ethnic Diversity Pledge, committing to increase ethnic diversity across our organisations, invest in ethnic minority talent and celebrate the achievements of diverse colleagues. The pledge was refreshed in 2026, and members continue to report progress against these long‑term targets.

Colleague networks

We actively foster a culture where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to succeed, through a wide range of internal networks covering race and ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ+ inclusion, disability, wellbeing, and broader allyship. These networks provide safe spaces for connection, mentoring, learning, and practical support, embedding equality, diversity and inclusion into all that we do.

G15 diversity programmes

Colleague networks and programmes play a key role in our shared EDI work. Our annual G15 Ethnicity in Housing Awards and initiatives such as the G15 Accelerate leadership programme support colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds to grow, lead, and thrive.

Amplifying diverse voices

Working with sector-wide groups like UNIFY, formed by ‘employees of colour’ across G15 housing associations to amplify diverse voices, helps us share insight and best practice across the social housing sector and build a more inclusive culture for everyone.Great homes and strong communities are delivered by people with talent, passion, and lived experience.
