On Thursday 25 May, the winners of the G15 Ethnicity
in Housing Awards 2023 were revealed.
The G15, in collaboration with UNIFY, organised the second edition of the
awards to recognise and celebrate the contribution and achievements of ethnic
minority colleagues in the housing sector.
Colleagues from across the G15 were invited to make
nominations for a range of awards that recognise the immense contribution of
ethnic minority colleagues.
Now you can meet the winners!
Outstanding
Achievement Award
Winner: Chichi Onyenemelu (Hyde)
Runner-up: Violet Pugh
(MTVH)
Chichi has not only changed the way that the housing
sector looks at social value – but has used social value to transform
communities.
When being nominated by their colleagues, she was
singled out for how they have shown that, by working together to build stronger
communities, we achieve more than we could alone.
They’ve even been praised for developing a platform
to help match community groups with funding, which is said to be the equivalent
of ‘Tinder for community projects’!
*Chichi was sadly unable to attend the ceremony so her colleague collected her award on her behalf.
